Speech-enabled Solutions

In today’s world of telephony, speech enablement is causing the largest and most comprehensive ever, re-deployment of solutions and the deployment of new ones. Finally there is technology available for a computer to understand speech and generate human-like speech - albeit in a limited, but significant way. And this is radically changing the paradigm in terms of information dissemination - be it via POTS or then the more recent wireline or wireless telephonic gizmos.

On the service end, it has now become possible to achieve much more with a fixed-cost voice response system instead of having to deploy hundreds of live agents spread across continents for providing information on essential services.

  • PowerConnect™ can offer all kinds of speech applications right out of the box. The most versatile Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) engines are integrated in the package including ScanSoft® SpeechPearl 8.0 and ScanSoft RealSpeak  Indian-English Sangeeta TTS. All you have to do is specify the engine you want PowerConnect™ to be enabled for at the time of purchase.
     
  • The ScanSoft®’s user interface is based open-grammar technology that ensures natural communication with an automated system, even via incomplete or grammatically incorrect sentences.
     
  • TTS is based on concatenated voice segments and extensive set of linguistic rules ensuring natural-sounding voice prompts.
     
  • If your word-list is small, it may be easier to use one of the common grammars already packaged with PowerConnect™. If you have an extensive word-list (for example, train or people names), you may want to build your own grammar. If you need help with grammar, PowerConnect™’s services team will be happy to assist you.
     
  • The words a caller uses are recognized quickly and efficiently owing to a vocabulary of over one million words for speech-enabled applications.
     
  • Building an application remains simple as ever. Build it just like you would build a dialed-input-based application, and replace the digits with words you want the caller to speak. Speech- and grammar-based barge-in is seamlessly integrated providing continuous speech processing (CSP).
